12 Days of Christmas – Day 1 – “Cranberry Gingerale”

Good day lovers,

My name is Alicia and I am a first year business student who loves all things classy and creative. I joined #TeamModernMakeup last summer and have been loving every second. When I’m not blogging about beauty on our Modern Makeup blog, you can find me documenting my life over at my own little space in the internet cleverspice.ca.

On behalf of Jen and myself, I can say we are so excited to launch our first ever Holiday Look Book! Over the last few weeks we have been devoting hours and Fridays to bringing Jen’s crazy and incredible visions to life through her amazing talent.

Our premiere look entitled “Cranberry Gingerale” is pure inspiration for all you beauties who want to push out of their usual neutral colour smokey eye comfort zone.

But first we must start off with the before pictures:

bareface

We started off this process like any other and used Revlon’s Photoready Foundation in shade 006, and sponged it all on. After this, Jen applied Revlon Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener and brushed a bit of ELF High Definition Under Eye Setting Powder right under my eye and extended it right onto the tops of my cheeks. I’ve never seen someone boost about a product so much as she does this one.

Eyeshadow is prone to drop onto your cheeks and when it does you can brush it away with this powder and it will prevent staining and it photographs well!

Next up came the main focus of this look. The eyes! Jen used the MAC Prep + Prime 24 Hour Extend Eye Base and went on to facilitate some kind of magic with MAC’s Eyeshadows “Humid”, “Cranberry” and Stila’s “Breeze”, and sealed it all up with a Smashbox Eyeliner in “Green Gold”.

Jen applied finishing touches with Loreal Voluminous – Waterproof – Carbon Black on my lashes, and used ELF Eyebrow Kit in “Light

She swept off the white flakey goodness right after we finished with the eyes, and started the contouring process using MAC Sculpting powder in “Bone Beige”. A tad bit of blush used in Blended Raizin and Peaches by MAC.

She smeared on my new favourite lipstick, BITE’s Luminous Crème in Shiraz.

And ta daaa!
