12 Days of Christmas – Day 7 – “Silver Tinsel”

Happy Sunday lovelies!

This is another one of our artsy fartsy shoots. Jen decided to finally bring her glistening vision to life with some silver tinsel the other day and with the help of our partner in crime Danielle Renea Photography,  the results were artistically phenomenal!

We started off with Revlon PhotoReady Eye Primer + Brightener and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15 on the skin and sponged on some Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in 005  with an added a touch of green, yellow and brown from Make Up For Ever’s 12 Flash Colour Case, and set it with ELF High Definition Powder. Jen was still out of her usual ELF HD Under Eye Setting Powder so we used our alternative Cinema Secrets Light Touch Powder in Colourless.

To start off this artsy eye process Jen used MAC’s 24 hour Extend Eye Base Primer and covered the eye lid in Stila’s Eyeshadow in the shade “Twilight”. She built up the definition in the crease using a MAC Eyeshadow in “French Grey” an mixed in a bit of MAC’s “Vex” just above the crease.

Moving on to liners, she used our usual MAC Fluidline Eyeliner in “Black Track” but this time, created a triple winged liner by following the natural lines of the eye. She managed to place two wings on the top and one on the bottom. Yet, when you look at it head on, these wings look like natural lash lines, it’s only when we look at the side view do you realize that it’s actually the liner!

Jen used Makeup Forever’s 12 Flash Colour Case in “003 Silver” to achieve that super shimmery silver eyeliner line and finished off the eyes by applying Two Faced Glitter Glaze in Silver to the centre of each eyelid and blended it out.

The glitter gives an unbelievable sparkle to the look!

We touched up the lashes with Rimmel’s Scandalizes Waterproof Mascara in 001 Black and no falsies were required. On the brows she used ELF’s Eyebrow Kit in Dark.

On the cheeks Jen tossed on Revlon’s Photoready Blush in Pink and contoured a bit with MAC’s Sculpting Powder in Bone Beige.

To pull together the look she used a MAC Lipstick in “Creme de Nude” and came up with some kind of potion mixing a Soft Lips Clear Lip Gloss with Two Faced Glitter Glaze sparkling eyeshadow top coat.

I didn’t have a silver sparkle lipgloss in my kit that day, so I improvised by mixing eyeshadow and lipgloss. When in doubt just make your own!

And voilaaa!
